Yarn Along
It has been a busy week here, but I did manage to finish up Reece's winter solstice hat, and it looks great! I have cast on another lovely little bowl, and by the time you read this it should be off the needles and in the process of being felted. Next up are some little knitted gnome hats for the lovely peg people I have started to work on. Another little craft project for the holidays.
Reading continues to be focused on my doula studies, I am learning so much.
What are you knitting, crafting and reading this week?
Joining in with Ginny and Nicole.

I like the hat very much!
ReplyDeleteAnd the colour of the bowl is beautiful!
I enjoy following your blog so much as I think you are living your life in such a great way, trying to find happiness and gratitude in the small things in everyday life, which isn´t easy. It is so inspiring to follow although we are living so far apart!
Thank you so much Karin-Ida for your kind words, they are appreciated.
DeleteBusy needles :) Love his hat and the tweediness of it. I do believe I own the yarn that you are currently knitting a bowl out of!! Looks familiar.

DeleteI really like the colours on that hat. May I ask where you got your peg people? I am trying to find a place that doesn't charge a fortune to ship to Canada.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer. And do I have a wonderful source for you and it is Canadian!!! They are in Guelph Ontario, and offer amazing costumer service. Here is there site https://stockade.ca/ Have fun!

DeleteI cant wait to see the completed Gnomes!
ReplyDeleteI will share :)
DeleteWhat a lovely hat! I have to tell you a bit of a funny story... Your comments on my blog always make me smile, and it's so lovely to have such a regular commenter! However, whenever I would click on your name to find your blog, either the page wouldn't load properly, or it said that your profile was set to private....well the other day it finally showed me that this is your blog, which is especially funny because I have been getting these posts via e-mail for months! But since I wasn't visiting the site on my computer, I wasn't seeing your name! I was so excited to finally be able to make the connection. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, that is too funny. I actually had no idea my profile was set to private, a fellow blogger let me know last month and I changed it. Glad you made the connection.
DeleteI love the yarn for your bowl - so fun! I've been thinking about peg people for my boys lately, they keep turning up all over. Maybe I should get on with making some :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate. We have five of them floating around here complete and Reece loves them. He doesn't know I have a stash of unfinished ones, I work on them when he is in bed :)
DeleteOoo gnomes, can't wait to see them finished :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully a few to show you next week.
DeleteI wish I did, the one Reece wears was actually made by a friend a few years ago. I will be searching for an easy pattern in the next few days though, my niece requested one after seeing Reece's on the weekend. I will share what I find :)
ReplyDeleteI think we all want to see the gnomes! :) I love knitting hats, they come together so fast.
ReplyDeleteI know...I am working on them :)
DeleteI just looked at that red again and it's so yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGorgeous yarn, that maroon. So where do you buy your peg people? We looked at the craft shop the other day and they had only the very tiny ones. =(
ReplyDeleteThanks Elisa. I ordered my peg people online from a Canadian retailer https://stockade.ca/ I had no luck finding them at the craft store. I was originally going to order from this place in the US http://www.caseyswood.com/ but then found a Canadian source. Hope that helps.
DeleteThanks, Kim. I will put those on our wish list. I would love to paint them as little Saints and give them to the kids for special Saint days..but even if they are not painted, they are perfect toys for little children.
