50/52

"A photo of my little man, once a week, every week, in 2015"

Reece, you had just finished running free in the woods and meadows when I snapped this photo. It was a beautiful morning for December, no hats or coats required. You and your friends were free and wild, soaking up the sunshine and fresh air, laughing and playing, and having a great time. While you were a little tired when our morning came to an end, I could also sense peace and calm within you. Mother Nature has a way of doing that, bringing us solace when we need it the most, and allowing us the space and time to heal. She has certainly been a good friend to us the last few months, and I am so grateful that we both enjoy our time in nature.

    1. There really isn't. I love our Friday nature adventures with friends. It is something both Reece and I look forward to every week.

  4. When we go outside and see how vast the world is, our troubles seem to diminish just a bit.

  5. Well Kim, it's still warm here and I have blueberry bushes in bloom so you might get your wish for when you head south.
Love seeing Reece grow and mature each week!

    1. Oh wow, that is crazy Tracey. The weather is totally off everywhere this season.

Thank you. This project is wonderful, and seeing the photos through the year, week to week, is amazing.

    1. Yeah, it has been warm here, like late spring, and we have been soaking it up. I think by the end of the week it is suppose to start cooling down. I was so hoping we would have snow for your visit, but I don't think it will happen. I am keeping my fingers crossed though :)

  7. What gorgeous weather. We have had snow ;). We have been enjoying snippets of time outside after our long stay indoors. The fresh air is definitely a healer. Have a lovely week.

    1. Thanks Karen. Yes, a little weird. We are hoping it changes soon, while it is nice, we do miss the snow.

  9. The snow would be great, but at least you're getting clear skies and sunshine, lovely to be playing outside so freely at this time of year. It feels like Mother Nature is indeed being kind to you over these past weeks, but then given your relationship with Mother Nature I think maybe you're more deserving of her kindness than anyone!

    1. I agree, Sally, it is lovely, and if we can't have snow, I will take more days like this one.

Mother Nature has been so good to us through this transition, and I am so very grateful for her presence in our lives.

      Aw, thank you. xo

  10. Nothing better than a good run through the wilderness with your friends. When I was Reece's age we lived out in Saskatchewan and I remember loving to run through the open prairie...no trees, streams, even rocks in the way. Just had to watch out for gopher holes! Ah, all that space...
