{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words -
capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary
moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by Soulemama.
Cute. Is it a snippy snappy one?
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is :) His little friend fished it out of the water on Wednesday.
DeleteA turtle? The are all over here right now along with the thousands of frogs I keep seeing and hearing.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy a great weekend Kim.
Oh Tracey, Reece would be in heaven :) Anything frog, toad or turtle related and he is there. Happy weekend to you too!
DeleteOh, how wonderful! You guys actually found turtles! Just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteMine had to be my favorite quiet sit spot challenge moment of this week. As I mentioned to you before, the blue jays are back and making such a racket in the Douglas Fir on our plot. But it always makes me smile : Baby Blue Jays soon being born!

Have a wonderful week-end! xo
We did, with much excitement. You too my friend. xo
DeleteSo precious! So exciting!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend, my dear friend :)
Thanks Renee, you too!
DeleteOh wow, a little baby turtle! Lucky you Reece. xxoo
ReplyDeleteVery lucky indeed! He was well hidden in the water and Reece's little friend found him. It was pretty exciting. xo
DeleteWow! my 2 would love to see turtles out in the wild...puts our 3 tadpoles to shame! x
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty exciting for all of us. Heck no, tadpoles are cool too. We found a whole lot of them the other day. Are you raising them? We did that last year, so much fun. Reece hasn't asked to do it this year, he was content to just play with them in the water the other day. Have fun!
DeleteThe smallest has front legs overnight...I admit I'm a little more interested than the kids. Enjoy your weekend too. Nikki x
DeleteCool! It is amazing how fast it happens. It was the same here, it is why I have let Reece take the lead this year. And so far he hasn't asked so we will leave them in the pond and just visit them :)
DeleteI love baby turtles :) I haven't seen one in a couple of years, but once there were three wee ones crossing the road.
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty cute.
DeleteYikes! Perfect perfect! Love the gentleness and concentration (at least in this captured moment it seems!) Would love to know if the moment actually included squeals and squirming!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you Kim!
Squeals yes, when his little friend fished it out of the water, but then it was very calm as everyone looked at it, held it and then said good bye before we put it back.
DeleteHappy weekend to you too!
Aw! Such gentle, tiny hands. We are partial to turtles at our house.
ReplyDeleteMy moment is from another rainy day in Maine. Peaceful, but always raining. http://robinfollette.com/this-moment-tomah-stream/
Thanks! They are pretty cool :)
DeleteHow sweet! How did it find it? It looks like a muddy rock! :)
ReplyDeleteI am not sure. Reece's little friend was playing near the water edge and the next thing we knew he had a turtle in his hands. It was covered in mud when he brought it to us. When we put him back he swam in the water for a bit and then burrowed in near the edge of the water under the mud. It was pretty cool to watch.
Deletethe animal whisperer is at it again! what fun!
ReplyDeleteHe does love his animals :)
DeleteOh my goodness, I cannot even begin to imagine how fabulous it was to discover this little turtle baby! My girls would be over the moon! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend, dear friend! xo
They would have loved it Shel. It was so much fun to find him and get a really good look at him. xo
DeleteIt is amazing what you will find by the water's edge! Happy Weekend to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is :)
DeleteOh my goodness! How funny! We just caught one of these yesterday. We have a pond behind our house and we generally only see the larger snappers, but yesterday while on our walk we say several different places where either scavengers had gotten into nests - or the eggs had hatched. Not five minutes later we found a little baby snapper. We studied snappers when we got home. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny, although this is the time of year for the babies. It was an exciting moment for all of us. And you are right...so much fun!
DeleteThat is awesome! What a fun find.
ReplyDeleteThanks, we thought so too :)
DeleteWow - an actual turtle (we don't have those round here)!! I'm impressed his friend recognised it, I'd have thought it was a rock!
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty cool. And I think because little hands we playing in the water it was a little easier to find :)
DeleteWe have been having fun, finding little critters as well..here is ours

That is great to hear. I think little hands and little critters go together very well :)
DeleteWow - very cool! My husband would have been so excited to see that! He loves finding turtles (and frogs, and lizards...) http://lifewiththecrew.typepad.com/my-blog/2014/05/this-moment-tree-time.html
ReplyDeleteThanks, it was pretty cool for us too!
DeleteLooks like fun exploring! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was!
DeleteSo perfect! Love this.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my moment. Enjoy the weekend!
How little!! How cute!!
ReplyDeleteHe was pretty cute!
DeleteCute baby turtle. What kind is it? It looks like it has a pointed snout. Be well.
