ReplyDeleteMine had to be my favorite quiet sit spot challenge moment of this week. As I mentioned to you before, the blue jays are back and making such a racket in the Douglas Fir on our plot. But it always makes me smile : Baby Blue Jays soon being born!

ReplyDeleteIt was pretty exciting for all of us. Heck no, tadpoles are cool too. We found a whole lot of them the other day. Are you raising them? We did that last year, so much fun. Reece hasn't asked to do it this year, he was content to just play with them in the water the other day. Have fun!

DeleteCool! It is amazing how fast it happens. It was the same here, it is why I have let Reece take the lead this year. And so far he hasn't asked so we will leave them in the pond and just visit them :)

Squeals yes, when his little friend fished it out of the water, but then it was very calm as everyone looked at it, held it and then said good bye before we put it back.

ReplyDeleteI am not sure. Reece's little friend was playing near the water edge and the next thing we knew he had a turtle in his hands. It was covered in mud when he brought it to us. When we put him back he swam in the water for a bit and then burrowed in near the edge of the water under the mud. It was pretty cool to watch.

DeleteOh my goodness! How funny! We just caught one of these yesterday. We have a pond behind our house and we generally only see the larger snappers, but yesterday while on our walk we say several different places where either scavengers had gotten into nests - or the eggs had hatched. Not five minutes later we found a little baby snapper. We studied snappers when we got home. So much fun!
